Live territory
The map is the scoreboard.
Standings are a list of names. Territory is something you can see: your courts glowing your colour, a rival's creeping in at the edges, the whole city redrawn every time a match is confirmed.
A simulation of a live city grid: every cell is a court, every colour a player.
How ownership works
Take ground. Hold it. Rule it.
Win it, colour it
The moment a division is yours, that court turns your colour on the map. Your neighbourhood stops being a list of clubs and starts being a picture of who runs what.
Hold it, or lose it
Take a court and you're its holder: the one everyone else has to beat. Answer challenges within 48 hours and keep winning, or watch your colour vanish from the map.
Nothing sits still
Captures, defends and forfeits redraw the map as they land. Go to sleep on top of your area and you might wake up to a rival's colour three blocks from home.
Why it hits different
You'll defend a court you didn't know you cared about.
Losing a number in a table is easy to shrug off. Watching your home court flip to someone else's colour, on a map your whole crew can see, is not.
That's the point. Territory turns a casual Tuesday match into something with stakes: pride, a rivalry, a patch of the city that says your name until someone comes and takes it.
